Week I Wednesday

The term “zip code faith” challenged me today, because I serve in a commuter church that is declining in number. Probably only a third of its people live within the boundaries of its zip code. The ethnic make-up of the church is predominantly Japanese American, but according to the most recent census, the demographics of the neighborhood is not. Obviously, the growth of this church is or should be connected to the people in the neighborhood. Hmmm.
